Flickr

Flickr (█)

Flickr is a photo-sharing site used by photographers to post collections of their
work. It’s also useful for journalists looking for photos in the public
domain (see “The Commons,” a collection of publicly-held photographs).

Pros Cons
Good for archiving. Not built for engagement. Instagram, and to a smaller extent Pinterest, have replaced Flickr as sites for engagement.
Does not strip EXIF data

Audience

Used widely by professional photographers.

Privacy

Under "Account Settings", users have the option of setting their profile as "searchable" as well as setting who can see what in their profile. The current city and real name default to being seen by everyone, and the e-mail address by people you follow. If you are concerned about your privacy, you should tweak these settings to limit who can view real information about you.

There exists an additional section on "Privacy & Permissions" that have global and default settings for the images you post to Flickr. This includes location data (if you're uploading photographs from your mobile device or a camera with GPS), EXIF data, and license settings.

Security

Supports Two-Factor Authentication: No
